Savasana is not simply how you end class, it is how you begin and move forward with everything there after. It’s the transition off the mat and into the world. Savasana holds the power to integrate our practice and materialise it into the rest of our day.
In this three hour workshop, we will explore:
- Cultivating ‘Bhav’ - an intentional mood or state of being that spiritually uplifts
- Hands-on savasana adjustments based on zen thai massage
- Use of props to support deeper rest
This workshop is open to both Yoga teachers and students who would like to deepen their understanding of savasana, explore supportive touch, and learn practical bodywork techniques. It will be an afternoon to enrich your personal practice and your teaching.
Guided by Janet Gooding.

Katonah Yoga® synthesises Taoist theory, Hatha Yoga, sacred geometry, metaphor, imagination, pranayama and meditation in a practical approach to potentiate communal and personal well-being. The goal of the Katonah Yoga® method is to be able to participate in one’s personal well-being, be well-integrated, and ultimately experience more joy in life!
Josie Schweitzer artfully crafts each teaching experience with intention and intelligence, providing a cohesive structure for an eye-opening, transformative journey. Present moment awareness is at the heart, a truth that permeates every movement, stillness, and breath.
Whether you’re new to Katonah® or deepening an existing practice, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to explore the practice as a living system. One that maps the body, breath and mind, as interconnected tools for self-discovery and transformation.

Most of our lives are shaped by what we see. Sight divides the world into here and there. Me and everything else. But what happens when sight is removed?
In this three hour immersive workshop we explore the yogic practice of Pratyahara, the turning inward of the senses. Blindfolded for much of the session, you will move slowly through grounded asana, explore somatic movement off the mat, and experience walking meditation guided by sound, touch and breath rather than sight.
Without the usual visual reference points, the body begins to listen differently. Sensation becomes clearer and boundaries soften. As the practice deepens, breathwork, chanting and meditation invite attention even further inward, toward the quiet space from which all experience arises.
No performance. No need to achieve anything. Just a rare opportunity to step out of the noise of the senses and rediscover the spaciousness of awareness.
Blindfolds provided. You just need to bring yourself. Guided by Samuel Gimson.
